What types of affordable housing are available?

Who qualifies for low-income housing?

Eligibility includes, but not limited to:

  • Household income (typically below 30%, 50%, or 60% of Area Median Income)

  • Citizenship or eligible immigration status
  • No recent evictions or serious criminal history
How do I apply for housing in New Bedford or Fall River?
  • New Bedford: Apply through New Bedford Housing Authority
  • Fall River: Apply via Fall River Housing Authority
  • You can also apply for state-wide housing via the CHAMP portal

What documents do I need to apply?
