Housing with CABH
Community Action for Better Housing (CABH) provides a range of housing options for individuals and families in need. Our apartment offerings include everything from Single Room Occupancy (SRO) units to spacious three-bedroom apartments, located in both residential homes and multi-unit buildings.
Housing Programs and Availability
CABH works diligently to maintain low vacancies, but units do become available periodically.
Interested applicants will need to apply through the appropriate agency depending on the type of housing unit being pursued.
Most of our apartments are available through Subsidized Housing Voucher programs through partnerships with local Public Housing Authorities (PHAs). In addition, CABH offers Private Affordable Housing or “FairMarket Rate” units which are available to eligible individuals with mobile vouchers or those without dedicated housing assistance.
If a unit becomes available, the qualified applicant will be asked to complete an application, along with several other documents, to determine if they meet all eligibility standards.
Standards include household income, number of occupants, and other state and federal requirements. It is critical that all requested documentation is complete, accurate, and timely.
